General
What does Bergh Software do?
Bergh Software is a one-person web design and development studio. We design, build, and ship fast, conversion-focused websites for businesses — covering web design, development, branding, and performance and SEO, from first sketch to launch and beyond.
Who will I work with?
You work directly with the founder, Daan van den Bergh, from the first call to final launch. There are no account managers and no handoffs — one point of contact and full accountability for your project.
Do you work with clients remotely?
Yes. Bergh Software is remote-first and works with clients anywhere. Everything from kickoff to launch happens online, so where you're based is no obstacle.
Why choose a one-person studio over an agency?
You get senior-level craft without agency overhead or layers. Decisions are fast, nothing gets lost in translation, and the person designing and building your site is the person you talk to.
Where is Bergh Software based?
Bergh Software is an independent, remote-first studio that works with clients worldwide. Everything from kickoff to launch happens online, so there's no office visit required — wherever your business is, we can build for it.
Pricing
How much does a website cost?
Simple sites start at €500 and larger, more complex builds start at €1,000. Every build is paired with a monthly care and hosting plan from €100 per month. Final pricing depends on scope — you'll always get a clear, fixed quote up front, with no surprise invoices.
Why is there a one-time build fee and a monthly plan?
The one-time fee covers the design and development of your site. The monthly care plan keeps it live, secure, backed up, and maintained — hosting, SSL, updates, and support — so it stays fast and reliable long after launch.
What's included in the monthly care plan?
Hosting and SSL, security and software updates, backups, and support. Higher tiers add monthly content updates and priority support as your traffic grows.
Process & timeline
How long does it take to build a website?
Most projects launch in around two weeks, depending on scope, and kickoff usually happens within two weeks of starting. Larger builds take longer — you'll get a realistic timeline with your quote.
What does your process look like?
Four clear steps: Discover (your goals and audience), Design (wireframes through to polished, on-brand interfaces you approve), Build (pixel-perfect development tested across devices), and Launch and grow (we ship, measure results, and keep refining).
What do you need from me to get started?
A short brief on your goals, any brand assets or content you already have, and a quick call. We'll guide you through everything else from there.
What happens after my site launches?
We don't disappear at launch. The care plan keeps your site maintained and secure, and we keep measuring and refining to improve your results over time.
Technical
What technology do you build on?
Modern, fast, reliable technology chosen for performance and easy maintenance — hand-built rather than assembled from bloated page builders, so your site stays quick and stable.
Do you handle hosting?
Yes. Hosting, SSL, and backups are part of the monthly care plan, so you never have to manage any of the technical infrastructure yourself.
Do you do SEO and performance optimization?
Yes — performance and SEO are built in from day one: sub-second load times, Core Web Vitals, technical and on-page SEO, structured data, and clean metadata, not bolted on at the end.
Can you redesign my existing website?
Absolutely. Redesigns are a common project — we can rebuild your current site to be faster, better looking, and higher converting, while keeping what already works.
Do I own my website and content?
Yes. Once your project is complete, the website and its content are yours — no lock-in. If you ever decide to move on, you take your site with you, exactly as it is.
